The property was built in 1893 as a grocers/general dealers store and you can still see the meat hooks in the breakfast room ceiling used to hang cured hams and other produce. We have two front doors one was for the Shop and one for the Owners part of the house. The previous owners gave The Greenhouse its name as we are next to the village green sometimes also reffered to as the Grove. We have continued on the Green theme by doing our best to run in an environmentally friendly way from low energy
light bulbs to the use of natural cleaning products and air drying all the bedding whenever we can. We provide gorgeous faith in Nature toiletries for our guests to use. We also use only the best local produce organic where possible, so less miles to your plate! and we try to use fair-trade products for things we need to buy from further a field. We have also recently been awarded a bronze for our use of local produce in our breakfasts from the North Northumberland Food Awards 2008!
Breakfast is served in our bright airy breakfast Room from which you can sit and watch the world go by through the beautiful big bay window whilst sampling some of the best local produce Northumbria has to offer. Later after a long day visiting the many attractions in and around Bamburgh, you are welcome to relax beside the beautiful original range in our visitors lounge.

English muffin - Topped with Seahouses smoked salmon and scrambled eggs

Hot Homemade Porridge - Served plain or accompanied by Chainbridge Honey Farm Honey.
